Export your newscasts

Once a newscast is generated, the goal is to automatically import it into your radio automation software. This process should run on autopilot, eliminating the need for manual intervention. After all, automation is the name of the game, right?

You have several options for exporting and downloading the latest newscast into your radio automation software:

  • Dropbox
  • FTP
  • Download link
  • Manual download

To access these download options, navigate to the upper right corner's "three dots" menu of the newscaster and select "Download options" from the dropdown menu.

Dropbox

Dropbox is the most common method for importing newscasts into your radio automation software. Chances are you're already using Dropbox to import content from other service providers.

Connect Dropbox

To enable Dropbox integration, you'll need to connect your Dropbox account. To do this, go to your "Team settings" from the left sidebar, scroll down, and click "Connect Dropbox." Follow the steps to link your Dropbox account.

Once connected, return to the newscaster and access "Download options" from the "three dots" menu in the upper right corner. You'll now see the filename for this newscaster in your Dropbox. It will be uploaded to your App\RadioNewsAI directory in Dropbox.

Each newscaster has its own filename, which is not editable and remains consistent. Therefore, every time a new newscast is generated, this file in your Dropbox will be updated.

Please note that you need to generate at least one newscast from a newscaster for the file to appear in your Dropbox.

FTP

If you prefer using FTP to automatically download the latest newscast into your radio automation software, access the "three dots" menu in the upper right corner of the newscaster and select "Download options." Scroll down to view your FTP credentials.

Create FTP login

If this is your first time connecting a newscaster via FTP, you'll need to click "Create FTP login" here to set up your FTP login details.

Once you've created the login, you'll find your FTP credentials. Each newscaster has its own filename, which is not editable and remains consistent. Consequently, every time a new newscast is generated, this file in your FTP server will be updated.

Please note that you need to generate at least one newscast from a newscaster for the file to appear in your FTP server.

The simplest way to download your most recently created newscasts from a newscaster is via the latest download link. You can access this link by going to the "three dots" menu in the upper right corner of the newscaster and selecting "Download options."

The link will always direct you to the latest completed newscasts. However, it's important to generate at least one newscast from a newscaster for the link to work.

Manual Download

If you prefer to download each newscast manually and add it to your system yourself, you'll find a "download icon" next to each generated newscast. Simply click the icon to download the audio file.
